I loved the fact that it had a wonderful storyline without the raciness of other secular novels! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I have just begun to read this novel and I am at about chapter 5, so it is an enjoyable read. Reading about a well to do African American family who owned and operated a ranch. The families wealth was obtained from an invention in farming their late father invented. However, while the book is an easy cozy read I was expecting a lot more historical background on Black cowboys during the time period of 1881, in which the book is set. The historical information is too important to leave out for a period of history that is so little known. I was hoping to gleam more information on this particular subject along with a good story line.
